However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. For it is time for judgment to begin with God’s household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God? And, “If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?” So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.

Let Us Keep To The Point”。 My Utmost for His Highest” 。

In the verses quoted by the apostle Peter for today’s spiritual food, especially at the beginning of the fourth chapter of 1 Peter, he encourages us to believe in Jesus and enter the kingdom of God, receive a share of His permitted inheritance, and be accepting as Children of God. We also know that the Savior Jesus Christ was born into the human world. He suffered in the flesh and became our propitiation, saving mankind and forgiving man’s sins. We should make this kind of intention into a vessel for God, serve God in the world and be a good tool for His gospel preaching. God is our sovereign potter and has full authority over us as His pottery vessels. It is extremely important for us to see the vision of God’s sovereign authority. For he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin. With this kind of intention, from now on we can live the rest of our time in this world not according to human desires, but only according to God's will. To be a good disciple of the Lord is to be determined to serve the Most High God absolutely and completely. Therefore, the verses highlighted in today’s spiritual food encourage us not to be ashamed if we suffer as Christians, because those who suffer according to God’s will be called to do good deeds, preach the gospel, and live for the Lord and serve Him as our God. Let us be reminded that God’s purpose in creating man is to make him a vessel, a vessel of clay, to contain Christ as our life and to be filled with His Holy Spirit so that Jesus can build up the Body of Christ in our church, to be God’s great corporate communication vessel, to manifest His everlasting love, salvation, and glory.

Scottish Baptist evangelist Oswald Chambers said, “Let Us Keep to The Point” when he preached about God’s mission. Pastor Chambers quoted the scripture Philippians 1:20 and declared that his fervent desire and hope is that he will never be ashamed, but that now as before he may personally glorify Christ with fearless courage. The pastor advises us, saying: "Put aside all other considerations for this one thing only, which is, "My Utmost for His Highest." Leave yourself before God. I am determined to serve absolutely and completely for God, and Him alone.” We would all be deeply ashamed if we did not yield to Jesus on this point. The Pastor asks us to surrender to Him. The apostle Paul says this in his verse of Philippians 1:20: “I am determined to serve the Most High with all my strength.” To do this requires a matter of will, not debate or reasoning, but It is a surrender of the will, an absolute and irrevocable surrender at this point. Thinking too arrogantly about ourselves prevents us from making decisions even though we say we are thinking of others. When we consider the cost to others of obeying Jesus’ call, we tell God and He might not know what our obedience means. To put it bluntly, He knows. Put aside all these considerations but one thing: "Serve the Most High with all you might." As Christians, let us also make this determination to serve God absolutely and completely, and only Him.

This morning in "今日圣言Holy Word Today", I read an article written by Rev. Bob & Mrs. Debby Gass, "Should I do it, or shouldn't I do it?" The pastor quoted 2 Corinthians 1:12, reminding us as believers to convey God’s love and grace to mankind with His salvation gospel of Jesus. We should not exaggerate too much. We should only rely on our own solid conscience, dedicate ourselves to completing the work of the gospel, and bear witness to others with God’s holiness and His faithfulness. The apostle Paul reminds us in the verses of what we should do for others in the world and deliver the gospel, do not rely on human wisdom, but rely on God’s grace. Therefore, in dealing with people, we must devote ourselves to serve them and glorify God, and demonstrate God’s unconditional and eternal love for mankind.” In this case, this is what the theme of “Spiritual FOOD TODAY” is about to share, “We Must Resolve to Serve the Lord Absolutely and Completely.”

Pastor Bob went on to explain and give an example that evangelist Oswald Chambers has also written the same in his sharing of "Dedicated to the Lord", and said: "Conscience makes me adhere to the highest standards, and what does it tell me? It is the highest requirement, teaching me how to act. The pastor said: (1) If I look to God regularly, my conscience will inevitably turn to God's perfect law and tell me what I should do. The question is, am I willing to obey? (2) God's discipline of us is extremely thorough. His voice is not like thunder; His voice is very small and can easily be ignored. To make your conscience sensitive to God, you must develop the habit of opening yourself to God regularly; (3) If you hesitate, stop immediately. "Why can't I do this?" Then you are on the wrong path. Once your conscience speaks, there is no room for hesitation. It is too risky to let something hinder your communication with God in secret; (4) Whatever it is, let it go! Always keep your inner vision clear. "

Therefore, the Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 1:12 quoted by Pastor Bob: “We pride ourselves on living in holiness and truth from God, relying on Him. His grace does not rely on human intelligence, especially toward you. Our consciences bear witness to this.” However, if the Bible does not provide a clear answer to your question, and you are wondering, “I. Do’s and don’ts?” Here’s your golden rule: 1 John 3:21-22 also says, “If we have a clear conscience in all things, we will have confidence before God. Whatever you ask of God, you will receive ..." Can you think of a more important reason to have a clear conscience? From this and therefore, " We Must Resolve to Serve the Lord Absolutely and Completely." Happy Friday everyone and have a great weekend!

When all this is said and done, in the summary of this sharing, "今日灵粮 Spiritual FOOD TODAY" would like to quote Isaiah 64:8, allowing everyone to pray for each other, and encourage each other in the love of the Lord. In this verse, the prophet Isaiah is also reminding his countrymen to pray to God on behalf of his Jewish people: “O Lord, you are still our Father! We are the clay and you are the potter; It’s all the work of your hands.” Pray that God’s mercy will provide and give each of us His beautiful and wise plans in life, shaping our lives according to His will so that we can be employed and used by Him as a good vessel of noble value for service and evangelism. Accordingly, “We Must Resolve to Serve the Lord Absolutely and Completely.” Pray in the name of the Lord, Amen!
