The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbour as yourself”.“ （罗马书 Romans 13:8-9）

Apostle John taught us in 1 John 4:7-8 and says, "Dear brothers and sisters, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love." Sexuality shared today is a sensitive topic. Every Christian may have different views and interpretations of sex, which is different from the Bible he or she has read. The author of this article does not intend to offend anyone, especially brothers and sisters in the church who may have personal interpretations and views or preferences on sexual topics in their country or community.
One of my high school classmates, Dr. John Lim from Australia, understands sex as a gift from God to mankind, especially to us, the children of God and reborn Christians who live in God's love. If we stand from the perspective of God's creation, we understand that sex is God's creation, from our parents conceiving and creating their children, whether male or female, some people also have unique sexual identities, that is, the so-called homosexuality and sexual orientation with same-sex partners. All people are gifts from God. They are born from different parents and families. God has different purposes and calls from God for their personal plans and lives. One pastor pointed out that in Jeremiah 1:5, God said to Jeremiah, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born, I consecrated you, I appointed you a prophet to the nations." This is one of those verses that many people hate because it clearly reminds us of God's sovereignty and control. All people and individuals may be born with different sexual orientations and their sexual orientation preferences may be unique, but as born-again Christians we must always remember that we are bought with a price and are instruments of God as stated in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, therefore pray that the Holy Spirit is leading us and all born-again Christians will maintain a holy approach to God every day because God is holy and know that "the Bible prohibits all forms of sexual promiscuity - heterosexual and homosexual" and that "there should be no hatred, hurtful comments or other forms of exclusion toward those who experience same-sex attraction or identify as gay, lesbian or bisexual." As “Focus on The Family Ministry” points out, they help families thrive in Christ through their ministry of evangelism on the biblical perspective of homosexuality and same-sex marriage.
In the summary of our sharing on “Understanding Sexuality as a Christian and Follower of Jesus”, a forum was held at this church one evening and the speaker gave the example of a pastor who accepted his gay son and called him home with his friend or partner and they were diligently serving God in the church like other diligent and born again Christians. This story shows the compassion and love that true Christians have for others when sexuality is viewed as God’s unique purpose for each person, His calling and plan and recognition is summed up in this command: “Love Other as Yourself - Love Your Neighbour as Yourself.”
