「灵粮经节 TODAY’s Verses」：工作神学 Theology of Work 项目出品，写了一篇耶稣在今日灵粮经节里给了 “才干的比喻” ， 说到：一个有钱人分派他的仆人管理他的财富，很像今天的投资者在市场里所做的。这个比喻的意义远远超出了金融投资。神已经赐给了每个人各种各样的恩赐，祂希望我们运用这些恩赐来事奉祂， 做个讨祂喜悦勤快的传道器皿 。许多基督徒都梦想有一天能够站在耶稣面前，听到祂说： “做得好，你这又良善又忠心的仆人！” 我们还有其他更重要的祈望肯定吗？财主回家来后，奖励了两位赚钱的仆人，却严厉地惩罚了那个什么也没做的仆人： “… 主人说：好，你这又良善又忠心的仆人，你在不多的事上有忠心，我要把许多事派你管理；可以进来享受你主人的快乐 … 因为凡有的，还要加给他，叫他有馀；没有的，连他所有的也要夺过来。把这无用的仆人丢在外面黑暗里；在那里必要哀哭切齿了。”; The Theology of Work project, wrote this sharing of “The Parable of the Bags of Gold,” an illustration of "worker’s talents" as demonstrated by Jesus in the TODAY’s scriptures, saying: A rich man assigns his servants to manage his wealth, much like today's investors do in the market. The implications of this metaphor extend far beyond financial investing. God has given each of us various gifts, and He wants us to use these gifts to serve Him, to be diligent preaching vessels that please Him. Many Christians dream of standing before Jesus one day and hearing Him say, "Well done, you good and faithful servant!" Do we have other, more important affirmations? After the rich man returned home, he rewarded the two servants who made money, but severely punished the servant who did nothing: "... “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness! ... For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’"」 (马太福音 Mathew 25: 14-30 节）

「灵粮分享 TODAY’s Sharing」： 今晨在「今日圣言 Holy Word Today」里，读到鲍勃牧师和黛比加斯夫人 Rev. Bob & Mrs. Debby Gass 写了一篇， “如何在工作中蒙福” 的分享。牧者鲍勃引用所罗门王的箴言 Proverbs 13: 4 节描述懒惰人，他们的胃口永远无法满足， 但勤奋的人， 他们的愿望就能完全得到满足， 因为 “勤快人能心想事成 “。你若是被神召在事奉传福音的工作中，你就要勤奋努力，做个讨神喜悦的工作器皿，也就是「今日灵粮 Spiritual Food TODAY」 主题要分享的，学像所罗门王今日所引用的箴言，和耶稣在今日灵粮里引用的经节，马太福音 Mathew 25: 14-30 节，给予 “才干比喻” 的教导，以及使徒保罗在传福音的旅程中, 所教导的传福音该有的工作态度和效果。最重要的，当在工作中能成功感到满足的时候，也 “得有神的肯定 — “做得好” 才是蒙福。

牧者也提醒我们说，懒惰的雇员经常会抱怨诸如此类的事情：老板不公平、制度对他们不利、 “公司里的男男女女” 讨好那些 “照顾他们” 的上司。这类人想要别人所享受的特权，但他们又不愿意为此付出。人们往往忘记了，牧者今天所引用的箴言 Proverbs 13: 4 节里要说的，就是： “勤快人能心想事成。” 因为，勤快的人最终能得到了一切美好的功劳：（1） 出色地完成工作的满足感、自我价值感；（2）正直的声誉；（3）他人的信任；（4）工作保障、收益、晋升。而且最重要的，也就是 “ 得有神的肯定 — “做得好” “。大家星期五开心与周末愉快！

「灵粮祷告 TODAY’s Prayer」：「今日灵粮 Spiritual Food TODAY」 也再引用牧者的箴言 Proverbs 10: 3-4 节和大家在主的爱里相互勉励祷告。鲍勃牧师在今日的分享里，就是在提醒我们，若是被召在事奉传福音的工作中，要牺牲专心勤奋努力，做个讨神喜悦传福音的工作器皿，“如何在工作中蒙福”。我们做神儿女事奉的当知道，“耶和华不使义人受饥饿；恶人所欲的，他必推开。手懒的，要受贫穷；手勤的，却要富足” 。求神帮助我们一生也都能过着富有属灵的生命，能够尽心，尽性， 尽意事奉传福音，爱主你的神。祷告奉主名求的，阿们！

In "今日圣言 Holy Word Today" this morning, I read the sharing of " How to be blessed at work " written by Rev. Bob & Mrs. Debby Gass. Pastor Bob quotes King Solomon’s Proverbs 13: 4 which describes lazy people whose appetites can never be satisfied, but hardworking people whose desires can be fully satisfied because “the hardworking people get what they want.” If you are called by God to serve the work of preaching and pastoring or missionary, you must work hard and be a work vessel that pleases God. That is what the theme of "今日灵粮 Spiritual Food TODAY " wants to share. Learn what King Solomon has said and quoted in the Proverbs today; verses quoted by Jesus in today’s spiritual food, Matthew 25: 14-30, teaching on the “Parable of the Talents”; and evangelism taught by the apostle Paul in his missionary journeys of evangelism on the working attitudes and effects that should have. Most importantly, while being successful and fulfilled at work, “Need God's Affirmation - "Well done" is also required and blessed.

Pastor Bob explained to us: "Diligence" at work is another key to success, because "Diligent people can get what they want." Ask any employer and they will tell you that their biggest challenge is finding and keeping great employees. King Solomon also affirmed in Proverbs 10: 4 that "hard work brings prosperity". Diligence means self-discipline, being proactive, being agile, being dependable, and following through on what you start. Such qualities are priceless, as Proverbs 12: 27 tells us they are hard to find. Paul mentioned in 1 Corinthians 9: 14, as a pastor or missionary, your boss has the responsibility to pay you a fair wage for one day. In Canada, you serve in the church and have a voluntary preaching or pastoring position, although it seems that there are no wages, but the government will give you a considerable part of the rent tax deduction, and the amount of personal income tax exemption or deductions, as well as the travel expenses of volunteers for long-distance meetings and local reimbursement expenses, etc., so you have duty to do their day's fair work. There is a story about a guy who goes to apply for a job and is asked if he is responsible. He replied, "Yes, at my last job every time something went wrong, the boss said I was to blame!" Seriously, do you want to be successful? The pastor thinks then make sure your employer prospers! What gets you promoted is "hard work," not "office politics or maneuvers." Proverbs 12: 24 says, "A diligent hand will rule, but a lazy man will become a slave".

The pastor also reminds us that lazy employees often complain about such things as bosses being unfair, systems working against them, and "men and women in the company" fawning over bosses who "take care of them." Such people want the privileges enjoyed by others, but they are not willing to pay for them. People tend to forget that the Proverbs 13: 4 verse quoted by the pastor today is to say: "Diligent people can get what they want." Because the diligent people can finally get all the good credits, such as: (1) satisfaction of a job well done, sense of self-worth; (2) reputation for integrity; (3) trust of others; (4) job security, benefits, promotion. And most importantly, "God's affirmation—"well done"". Happy Friday and great weekend everyone!

In conclusion, “今日灵粮 Spiritual Food TODAY” would like to quote the same Proverbs 10: 3-4 and encourages to pray for each other in the love of the Lord. In today’s sharing, Pastor Bob is reminding us that if we are called to serve and preach the gospel, we must sacrifice our life to concentrate and work hard as his working vessel that pleases God in spreading gospel and knowing “How to be blessed at work". We are children of God, we should know that, “The LORD does not let the righteous go hungry, but he thwarts the craving of the wicked. Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth.” May God help us to live a spiritual life throughout our lives, spreading gospel to serve Him with all our heart, soul, and mind, and love the Lord as He is our God.
