“;There is a Chinese saying that a strong man has a strong man, and a mountain is still higher than a mountain. Since ancient times, God has given us the teachings in the Old Testament, and Christ Jesus has also commanded us in the New Testament with gospels that we must fear and love God respectfully, and behave like others, and love others as ourselves. Because, when we pass away before God's white throne and face the Savior Jesus to give an account, our God is still our final judge. As a result, the apostle Paul also reminded us again in the verses of today’s spiritual food in his epistle of Romans. saying: "You, then, why do you judge your brother or sister? Or why do you treat them with contempt? For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat. It is written: “‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.’” So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God. Therefore, let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister.

This morning, in "圣经日日行 We Devote", I read an article written by Rev. Nicky Gumbel, "Trust the Lord in the Face of Injustice and Persecution". Pastor Gumbel quoted Psalm 82: 1-8, especially the second paragraph of verse 8, and talked about how we should face injustice in society? The psalmist of this psalm believes that in the end God will put everything back in its place, so in this verse 8 the prayer is: "Arise, O God, and judge the world, for all the nations are your inheritance " That is what the topic of "今日灵粮 Spiritual Food TODAY " is about to share, "God Making Everyone Accountable to Him", because God is still our final judge.

Pastor Gumbel is the initiator of Alpha Course, which is an "opportunity to explore the meaning of life" and a good tool for evangelism. The pastor explained to us in this sharing: it is lucky to be able to live in a relatively fair political system, and those who live in countries with corrupt politics and weak laws are unlucky. But ultimately, God will hold everyone accountable to Him. Verse 1 of this same Psalm tells us, " God presides in the great assembly; he renders judgment among the “gods” ", that are us. You must believe that God is the "president" and he has the highest power! In verse 2, the psalmist tells us that God will put everything that people do before the judgment seat and say: " “How long will you defend the unjust and show partiality to the wicked"? Trusting God does not mean we can be complacent or passive. The psalmist eagerly desires that this corrupt society can be changed. While God is sovereign, we also have a responsibility to do justice within our power. In verses 3-4 the psalmist tells us that justice must be done for the poor: " Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked. " One day, everything will be righted by God. Injustice will be completely eradicated. God wants to liberate man from corrupt government. So, the psalmist prayed in the first paragraph of verse 8: "God, please arise and judge this unfair world". Therefore, when we are alive in this world, we should not judge brothers, sisters, and others, let alone despise brothers, sisters, and others. As we await the coming of final judgment of God as we are aging, we must do something, especially justice for the poor and oppressed. We should also have the courage, as the psalmist prayed in verse 2, to ask those unjust rulers to condemn and say: " “How long will you defend the unjust and show partiality to the wicked? “ Happy Friday and great weekend everyone!

Spiritual Food TODAY” would like to quote Ecclesiastes 5:8 and everyone encourages to pray for each other in the love of our Lord. Pastor Gumbel exhorted us in his sharing, "When facing injustice and persecution, we must stay strongly with our faith, and endure to rely on our Lord's help." Therefore, when we conduct ourselves in this world, we should not judge brothers, sisters, and others, let alone despise brothers, sisters, and others. Because, "God will hold everyone accountable to him", as God is the final judge after our death. Therefore, the wise King Solomon reminded us in this verse of his Ecclesiastes 5:8: "Do not be surprised if you see the poor oppressed in a province, and robbed of what is just and fair; for there is one higher than the high-ranking inspectors, and there are higher ones above them." May God be merciful and bless us with the wisdom to be responsible Christians who do not judge others and who are able to do good and help those in need. Pray in the name of the Lord, Amen.
