(486) 「灵粮主题 TODAY’s Topic」：坚持信心就是神给的全副军装 Persevering in Faith is the Complete Armour of God

「灵粮经节 TODAY’s Verses」：「我们作信徒的，因为信了耶稣而得救， 成了圣洁新造的人，也得称为神的儿女，活在这世界上行事为人，都得学像耶稣和救主基督的教导吩咐。就像使徒保罗书信里指导所说的，我们要作个圣洁讨神喜悦的基督徒，活在这罪恶连天的世界里，至等到肉体得病痛或是遇到意外而死亡，但是你的灵魂离世，就会被神领回到神灵的白衣宝座前， 面对救主耶稣最后审判的日子。你若是判决不能过关，唯一可以想象得到能将我们定罪的，就是那在世上没有被赦免的罪。也就是你在信耶稣受洗得救后， 仍然过着明知故犯的人生，堕落犯罪如古。所以，今日灵粮的经节，也就引用使徒保罗在以弗所书第 6 章里所要说的，“坚持信心就是神给的全副军装”。保罗的以弗所书福音经节的教导，就是要我们穿戴神所赐的全副军装，就能抵挡魔鬼的诡计，也就是我们要坚持信心，不要信耶稣得救了又再犯罪。保罗在今日灵粮以弗所书的经节里说：“所以，要拿起神所赐的全副军装，好在磨难的日子抵挡仇敌，并且成就了一切，还能站立得住。所以要站稳了，用 ‘真理’ 当作带子束腰，用 ‘公义’ 当作护心镜遮胸，又用平安的 ‘福音’ 当作预备走路的鞋穿在脚上。此外，又拿着 ‘信德‘ 当作籐牌，可以灭尽那恶者一切的火箭；并戴上 ‘救恩’ 的头盔，拿着 ‘圣灵’ 的宝剑，就是 ‘神的道’ ；靠着 ’圣灵‘，随时多方 ‘祷告’ 祈求；并要在 此儆醒不倦，为众圣徒祈求”; As believers, we are saved because we believe in Jesus, and become holy as newly created people, so as we would be called as the children of God. When we live and behave in this world, we must learn to follow the teachings and commands of Jesus Christ as our Savior. Just like what the apostle Paul said in his epistles, we should live as holy Christians who would fear and please God, and challenged constantly to face this sinful world, until our body gets sick or dies in an accident, but your soul will not die, and will be led by the spirit of your God back to the white throne where God sits and face the final judgment day of the Savior Jesus. If you never pass the trial, the only sins that can conceivably convict us are the sins that are not forgiven in this world. That is to say, after you believed in Jesus and were baptized and saved, you still lived a life of knowingly committing crimes, and your depravity and sin remained the same. Therefore, the verses of today’s spiritual food would quote what the apostle Paul said in Ephesians Chapter 6, “Persevering in Faith is the Complete Armour of God”. The teaching of gospel in these Paul’s Ephesians verses is to put on the whole armour given by God so that we can resist the tricks of the devil, that is, we must persist in our faith and not sin again after being saved by believing in Jesus. In today's spiritual food Ephesians verses Paul said,” Therefore put on the full Armour of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” 」(以弗所书 Ephesians 6: 13-18 节）

「灵粮分享 TODAY’s Sharing」： 今晨在「纯全喜乐 Pure Joys」里，读到约翰·派博 Rev. 「灵粮祷告 TODAY’s Prayer」：「今日灵粮 Spiritual Food TODAY」 也就引用雅各书 James 4: 7-8 节和大家在主的爱里相互勉励祷告。约翰牧师在今日的分享里，鼓励我们抵挡魔鬼的方式，就是坚固他最想破坏的东西，你的信心。所以在这今日灵粮结语所引用的雅各书经节里，耶稣的弟弟雅各就在指示我们信徒要如何坚固我们的信心，也就是要信靠亲近神，说：“故此，你们要顺服神。务要抵挡魔鬼，魔鬼就必离开你们逃跑了。你们亲近神，神就必亲近你们。有罪的人哪，要洁净你们的手！心怀二意的人哪，要清洁你们的心！” 求神帮助我们一生也都能过着富有属灵的生活，“坚持信心就是神给的全副军装”。求神怜悯让他的神灵 WIFI （圣灵） 每天都给我们引领，走完那得救的人生义路，当审判的日子来临，我们就能过关得有永生的赏赐等待着。祷告奉主名求的，阿们！

In "纯全喜乐 Pure Joys" this morning, I read the sharing of "Satan Attacks, We Resist" written by Rev. John Piper. Pastor John quoted 1 Peter 5: 9, describing that "we must resist the devil with strong faith, because we must know that our brothers in the world are also experiencing the same suffering." That is what the theme of "今日灵粮 Spiritual Food TODAY" is about to share, “Persevering in Faith is the Complete Armour of God.” Pastor John explained to us: Our soul has two enemies, one is sin and the other is Satan, and sin is a great enemy. Because the only way Satan can destroy us is by tempting us to sin. God may allow Satan to be rough on us, just like Satan did to Job in the Book of Job, Satan can even kill us, just like he did so much suffering to saints and believers in the Church of Smyrna in Revelation 2: 10. However, Satan cannot condemn us, nor can he take away our eternal life. The only ultimate harm he can do to us is to tempt us to sin, and that is his plan. Satan's main work is to advocate, promote, facilitate, seduce, and affirm our sinful tendencies. Ephesians 2: 1-2 records: "You are dead in trespasses and sins... after the course of this world, and under the prince of the power of the air...”. To sin is to "follow" the power of Satan. It is by tempting people to sin that Satan brings about moral corruption. When we sin, we enter his domain and become a power to follow him. When we sin, we "give place to the devil" as described in Ephesians 4:27.

Next, Pastor John reminded us that on the day of judgment, the only thing that can condemn us is the unforgiven sin in the world, not sickness, suffering, persecution, threats, ghosts, or nightmares. Satan knows this, so he does not mainly use all kinds of weird phenomena to intimidate Christians, although there are many such things, but he often uses worthless trends and evil ideas to corrupt Christians. Satan deliberately attacks us when our faith is weak. However, the way Satan wants to destroy us is the way we resist him. This is why Apostle Peter is saying in 1 Peter 5:9, "...resist him with steadfast faith", and it is also the verse of today's spiritual food, Apostle Paul said in Ephesians 6:16. Talk about the way to block Satan: "Take faith as a shield, and you can quench all the flaming arrows of the evil one". Happy Friday and great weekend everyone!

In conclusion, “今日灵粮 Spiritual Food TODAY” would like to quote James 4: 7-8 and everyone encourages to pray for each other in the love of our Lord. In today's sharing, Pastor John encourages us to resist the devil by strengthening the thing he most wants to destroy, your faith. Therefore, in the verses of James quoted in the conclusion of today's spiritual food, Jesus' brother James is instructing us believers how to strengthen our faith, that is, to trust and draw close to God, saying: "Therefore, obey God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and God will draw near to you. Sinful ones, cleanse your hands! Double-minded ones, cleanse your hearts!" May God help us to live a rich and spiritual life throughout our lives, "Persevering in Faith is the Complete Armor of God." May God be merciful and let His Spirit work like having WIFI (Holy Spirit) to guide us every day, and finish the righteous path of a saved life.
