…”; This is a proverb from King Solomon, which says “… Whoever is patient has great understanding, but one who is quick-tempered displays folly. A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy(to get angry)rots the bones。…”

This morning in "今日圣言 Holy Word Today", I read the sharing of " Start over every day " written by Rev. Bob & Mrs. Debby Gass. Pastor Bob quoted Proverbs 14: 17, this proverb of the wise King Solomon, reminds us that we must follow God’s words and teachings in the Bible every day in our lives. Although life is sometimes difficult, do not get angry easily, because you act foolishly; those who set up tricks will easily lead to sin and be hated by others. This is what the theme of "今日灵粮 Spiritual Food TODAY" is about to share, "Do Not Let Your Anger Destroy Your Peace", leading to sin and falling, being separated from God, and losing the salvation freely given to you by faith in Jesus from God.
Pastor Bob then explained with examples: You may have overslept, your car won’t start, you are late for work, or your computer crashed! These things may make you angry, but only if you let them. Therefore, in the Proverb of King Solomon quoted by the pastor, the verse remind you that "an impatient and angry person does things foolishly." If you get angry, then you are just waiting to "fall headfirst into the ground"! Then, King Solomon’s Proverb 16: 32 also says the same: “He who is slow to anger is better than a mighty man, and self-control is better than a city that falls.”
Anger always leads to trouble and ends up causing more damage than the things that caused you to be angry. King David taught us how to avoid losing our temper in his Psalm 5: 3, saying: " In the morning I go to God to pray and wait eagerly." If you would start your day by dedicating it to God, life, so that when things do not go your way, you will be less likely to respond to life's difficulties with anger. One pastor wrote: "Our time on earth is short. Do not let what happened 20 years ago or 20 minutes ago ruin your day. It is such a shame. So, the pastor told us that he has made up his mind, enjoy every day. Maybe he will make mistakes, things may not go as he wants. The pastor may be disappointed, but he wants to live happily. He will not let what happens or does not happen steal the pastor's joy. Therefore, every morning Pastor Bob will pray and say, 'Heavenly Father, today is going to be a good day. I thank you for having the discipline, the self-control, and making good decisions.' We may not have done what we should have done yesterday. But yesterday is over, and we are going to do better today. Have you ever wondered why the front windshield of a car is big and the rear-view mirror is small? That’s because what’s behind is far less important than what is in front. So, we it is time to move on and whatever happens today, do not ruin your peace of mind. Happy Friday everyone and have a great weekend!
Spiritual Food TODAY " would like to quote James 1: 19-20 and encourages everyone to pray for each other in the love of the Lord. King Solomon’s proverbs remind us that although we may encounter difficulties and unsatisfactory things in our daily lives, “Do Not Let Your Anger Destroy Your Peace.” Therefore, James, Jesus’ younger brother encourages us in James 1: 19-20 to obey God’s word in everything as well as the inspired teachings of the wise men in the Old Testament and the apostles in the New Testament, and not to be easily angered and fall away, so saying: "My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires." May God has mercy on us and helps us in our weakness as humans, but strengthens us spiritually so that we can follow Jesus, gain ultimate salvation and eternal life, and live a peaceful and meaningful life. Pray in the name of the Lord, Amen!
