; When you encounter difficulties in life, the apostle Paul told the believers in the church in Philippi, saying: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

This morning in "今日圣言 Holy Word Today", I read the sharing of "When I Worry" written by Rev. John Piper. Pastor John quoted 1 Peter 1 Peter 15: 7, advising us to cast all our worries on God every day as we walk in the hard life, because God will take care of us. This is what the theme of "Spiritual Food TODAY" is about to share. I believe that "In the Love of Jesus, God Will Keep Your Heart and Mind in Peace", so that you will not worry, as worry will lead to evil thoughts and sins, and you will lose the ability to follow the Lord. Ultimate faith brings peace and grace.

Pastor John then cited many examples from scriptures to explain: (1) When the pastor was worried about his illness, he quoted God’s promise in Psalm 34:19 to fight against his unbelief, “Many are the righteous? tribulation, but the Lord delivered him from them all.”; (2) At the same time, the pastor accepted God’s promise in Romans 5:3-5 with trembling heart: “... knowing that tribulation produces perseverance, and perseverance experience produces experience, and experience produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame; for the love of God has been poured out into our hearts by the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”; (3) When the pastor was worried about his old age, he used God’s promises to talk to him. The battle of unbelief is like the unfailing love of God in Isaiah 46:4: “Even until you are old, I am still like this; even until you are gray, I will still carry you. I have created it, and I will keep it.; I will embrace and I will save.”; (4) When the pastor was worried about death, he used God’s promise in Romans 14:7-9 to fight against unbelief: “We have no one for ourselves live, and no one dies to himself. If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we are the Lord's. Therefore, Christ died and lived, to be Lord of the dead and of the living.”'; (5) When the pastor is worried that he will lose faith and fall away from God, he will use God’s promises to fight against unbelief. Because, Philippians 1:6 says: “I am confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will continue it until the day of Jesus Christ.” And Hebrews 7:25 confirms, “He is able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.”

Brothers and sisters, let us rise up and fight! But the battle is not with others, but with one’s own unbelief. Unbelief is the root of worry and no peace, and worry is the root of many other evil thoughts from which we must be free. Happy Friday and happy weekend everyone!

Spiritual Food TODAY " would like to quote Psalm 27:13-14. It encourages everyone of us to pray for each other in the love of the Lord. There is a pastor mentioned that Psalm 27 was King David’s description of his powerful weapon against the enemy of fear and worry, and it has the power to enrich our hearts. In sharing the verses cited in today’s spiritual food, the apostle Paul reminds us that although we may encounter many difficulties and sad and unhappy things in our daily lives, “In the Love of Jesus, God Will Keep Your Heart and Mind in Peace.” We can see that King David spent his whole life on the run, avoiding the pursuit of his enemies, but in his Psalm 27:13-14, he encouraged us with confidence to wait, saying. "I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD." Pastor John is also in today's sharing to encourage us asking God to strengthen our faith. Therefore, let us pick up the Bible and pray for the help of the Holy Spirit to store God’s promises in our hearts, and fight the good fight — living and waiting with faith in God’s future grace. Pray in the name of the Lord, Amen!
