; The final result of the work of reconciliation between God and mankind. God has done His last and only new thing, which is God’s final salvation plan. Through His beloved Son Jesus Christ, Jesus has completed God’s final great mission of salvation and saved mankind forever. We have the path to be reconciled with God through Jesus; so, before Jesus ascended to heaven, he gave us the same great commission as believers, commanding us to go to all nations on the earth and lead people to convert to the Lord and believe in Jesus to reconcile with God and obtain salvation. Paul had this kind of example of Jesus, an apostle who died for the Lord and zealously preached the gospel, and wrote 13 letters to teach our future generations of believers, saying: “So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation” 」 (哥林多后书 2 Corinthians 5: 16-18 节)

This morning in "今日圣言 Holy Word Today ", I read the sharing of "Don't Miss the Past" written by Rev. Bob & Mrs. Debby Gass. Pastor Bob quoted Isaiah 43:18-19 to describe the Israelites' unfaithfulness to God, but God still showed mercy and love to them, telling them not to think about the past. God promised to provide them with the present and the future and something new to save them. This is what the theme of "今日灵粮 Spiritual Food TODAY " is about to share, "The Final New Thing in God’s Ministry of Reconciliation to Mankind." This new thing is the good news in the gospels of the New Testament, the Savior. Jesus Christ was martyred to undertake the mission and resurrection for God’s unfailing love with grace and salvation to mankind, and defeated the death penalty of sin. Pastor Bob went on to explain: Let’s use the words of the legendary baseball player Satchel Paige: “Do not look back. Otherwise, something bad may be about to catch up with you.” This is a good advice! As Paul expressed in Philippians 3:13, he also concluded that he had no confidence in the flesh and worldly experience: "... I focus on one thing: forgetting what is behind and pressing forward.” His faith is aimed at the final goal of life, which is to wait for the salvation and grace that God will leave for him in the future, which is the reward crown of eternal life.

The pastor then gave an example. writer Ellen Vaughn once wrote: “In order for our spiritual vitality to truly flow, we must forget three things: (1) We must forget our sins. Obviously, we must forget our sins, although in order to confess our sin, we must remember our sin. However, now that we have confessed and repented, we must let go and forget it. Because, 1 John 1:9 tells us that God is faithful and will forget us all transgressions, that's a fact. It's like calling to heaven and hearing God's messenger from heaven respond by saying, 'You have no record of sin anymore.' Come up. Our sins are removed by the salvation of Jesus, as if there has never been a criminal record. But be careful, Satan will continue to tempt us to live in guilt and fear. The devil will try his best to pull us into the dark box of memory, so that our most serious sins can we replay the memories in our minds. We need to be very clear in this moment, or we will miss the point of release and fall into the devil's trap of knowingly committing sin again. This is not to say that we only experience some kind of divine amnesia, God's forgiveness for us is real. Forgiveness does not depend on us, but on God. Therefore, Hebrews 8:12 confirms to us again that God will forget our sins; (2) We must forget that we have ever the shame of sin. Paul was the one most deserving of shame. He was responsible for harassing, imprisoning, torturing, and murdering countless innocent Christians and churches. However, God’s grace is more powerful than our shame when Jesus all our transgressions and shame were taken away when He died on the cross for us and was resurrected. We can forget our shame because Jesus bore it. God despises shame because his only begotten Son has defeated it and shattered it. We do not need to take it back and remember it.; (3) Just like today’s sharing of spiritual food, God told us as early as in the book of Isaiah that He will do a new thing in the future, which is today what spiritual food shares with us, “The Final New Thing in God’s Ministry of Reconciliation to Mankind”: God sent His only begotten son, Jesus, to be born to complete the mission of saving the world, meaning that God also realized what He had accomplished in Isaiah. The promise of a new thing to His people in Isaiah 43:18-19. God’s love for mankind is unchanging and has always shown mercy to the people He loves. So, the prophet Isaiah in His book also recorded God’s words, saying, “Remember not the old things … I will do a new thing …” Because Jehovah is their Holy One, the establishment of the nation of Israel was also approved and created by God. Just like God was their king before the records and books of Kings, he led His beloved people live and survived everywhere. The power of God saved and protected them. When God's people encountered trouble and suffering, God was their only savior, so God promised to do a new thing for them at that time, which was to save them from the Gentiles of aggression and suffering, and forgive their unfaithfulness to God. In the era of the New Testament, Jesus saves the sins of the world, which is the last and new salvation thing that God gives to mankind. Those who believe in Jesus are saved, and those who do not believe in Him will perish and will never receive God’s reconciliation and salvation. Happy Friday and great weekend everyone!

When all was said and done, "今日灵粮 Spiritual Food TODAY" would like to quote Philippians 3: 13-14, and encourage every one of us to pray for each other in the love of the Lord. The verses remind us to seize the last new thing that God has given us. This means that if you believe in the Lord Jesus, you will have " The Final New Thing in God’s Ministry of Reconciliation to Mankind." That is, if you believe in Jesus, you will be forgiven of all your sins and you will be able to enjoy eternal life and peace with God through this final offer of salvation. Therefore, in the conclusion of today’s spiritual food, the verses quoted from Philippians, the apostle Paul also uses his life experience to encourage us, saying, “Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” May God strengthen our faith so that we can only focus on one thing, forgetting what is behind, work hard to move forward, and wait for the reconciliation God gives us with the reward of eternal life. Pray in the name of the Lord, Amen!
