你信这话麽?”; For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son (Jesus), that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him; Jesus said to her (Matha), “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
The apostle Paul demonstrates by example how to defend his writings in Philippians 1: 21: “For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” A pastor went on to explain that this verse provides some of the most memorable words in the entire Bible: "For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain." Whether the verdict of the case was life or death, Paul would remain faithful to God. This is what Paul said in many letters to the church of believers. As a Christian and a follower of Christ, we must do a good job before we die in order to be with God and enjoy the hope of eternal life. Prepare. The date will be before we leave this world. Furthermore, one theologian tells us that from the first century onwards, Christian hope has been rooted in the resurrection after death so that we can be rewarded with eternal life and live with God forever. This resurrection event is not something that happens after we die. As Paul describes to us in 1 Corinthians 15: 51-54, this will happen when our bodies are raised from the grave at the Second Coming of Christ. Therefore, we must be fully prepared. That is the verses from the Gospel of John that 今日灵粮 Spiritual FOOD TODAY quotes, especially John 11: 26. Jesus made a promise to us believers before He ascended to heaven, saying: “Whoever lives and believes in me will never die!”
This morning in "今日圣言 Holy Word Today", I read an article written by Rev. Bob & Mrs. Debby Gass, sharing "A New Adventure in Life". The pastor quoted Hebrews 2: 15 to remind believers not to be afraid of death for the sake of the gospel and salvation. Because if we trust Jesus as our Savior, Jesus will help free those of us who have been slaves to sin our lives because of fear of death.” This is what the theme of “Spiritual FOOD TODAY” is about to share, “A Christian is One Who is Prepared for Death.” Pastor Bob went on to explain as an example that Charles Lindbergh, the first man to fly solo across the Atlantic, died of cancer. Before he died, he wrote these words to be read at his funeral: "We commit the body of Charles Lindbergh to his final resting place; but we commit his soul to Almighty God, because we know that death is just a new adventure in life, and we remember what Jesus Christ said on the cross: 'Father, I commit my soul into your hands. '"
Death is just "a new adventure in life," so there is no need to fear or ignore it. Because you have Christ, you can face it with joy and confidence. Moreover, Jesus’ resurrection also guarantees your resurrection. Aristotle was wrong: death is not terrible. The Greeks were wrong, too: Karon, the boatman, won't ferry you across the Styx into a forgotten, sunless world of ghosts.
As a believer, you will not be buried, you will be planted! The Apostle Paul explains in 1 Corinthians 15: 42-43, “The same thing is true about the resurrection of the dead. He who is sown perishes, but he who is raised imperishable; he who is sown is in disgrace, but he who is raised is raised in perishable glorious; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in strength.”
Saint Francis of Assisi was hoeing his garden one day when a man asked him what he would do if he suddenly learned that he would die at sunset that day. He said, "I will finish hoeing my garden." This was a man who was prepared for death, had no fear of death, and was ready to make the most of every moment of his life. You need to live like this too! Happy Friday everyone and have a great weekend!
When all this is said and done, in the summary of this article, "今日灵粮 Spiritual FOOD TODAY" would like to quote 1 Corinthians 15: 21-22, allowing everyone to pray for each other, and encourage each other in the love of the Lord. In thi s verse, Paul reminds us as believers to firmly believe to the end that our original ancestors, Adam and Eve, were disobedient and sinned and inherited the poison of sin in us. God sent His Son to become flesh, die as a propitiation for us humans, and resurrect on the third day to defeat the wages of sin, death, and cleanse us of all the toxins that are hereditary infections and the accumulation of life for living. sins and transgressions. As long as we believe in Jesus as our only savior, we who live and believe in Him will never die! This is what is called salvation by justification by faith. Therefore, Paul’s advice in this verse means, “A Christian is One Who is Prepared for Death.” He tells us not to be afraid of death, because: “For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.” May God help us to keep our faith. Through the salvation of Jesus Christ, pray that may we live a holy life all our lives and please God by being prepared for death to meet Him. Pray in the name of the Lord, Amen!
