;Today, we celebrate the incredible truth and power of Jesus' resurrection. It's more than just a historical event; it's the foundation of our faith, promising eternal life and powerfully transforming our daily lives. The resurrection demonstrates God's ultimate power over death and sin. It's a powerful reminder that with God, the seemingly impossible is actually within reach. This same power is with us not only in the afterlife but also now through the gift of the Holy Spirit, empowering us to bear witness and share the gospel. Therefore, the Apostle Paul encourages us not to rely on our own strength. The Holy Spirit lives in us, and the same power that raised Jesus from the dead also lives in you, saying: “But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.”

The Scripture passage shared in 《Spiritual FOOD TODAY今日灵粮》 is Romans 8:10-11. Many Bible scholars agree that the Apostle Paul emphasizes in this verse that Jesus Christ's resurrection not only symbolizes His victory over death but also signifies the promise of future grace and power for believers, empowering them to bear witness and share the gospel. This power, rooted in the Holy Spirit, enables believers to live a renewed life, relying on God's power to overcome the difficulties of evangelism and the challenges of witnessing, and to pursue a holy and redeeming eternal life even amid trials and imperfections.

In his "Pure Joy" column, Pastor Rev. John Piper delivered a sermon titled "Proclaiming the Power of Christ," quoting Acts 4:33 to remind believers and deepen their reflection and conviction, emphasizing God's extraordinary future grace and power for them to rely on in their witnessing. In this verse, the Apostle Paul exhorts us to continue striving to be like the apostles in bearing witness to the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the gospel of salvation. Pastor John Piper goes on to say that if we were to bear witness for Christ tomorrow even if we could not resonate with the audience, the key would not lie in our own talent but in the abundant future grace promised by God and the helping work of the Holy Spirit.

Thus, of all people, the apostles seemed to need the least help in bearing convincing witness to the resurrected Christ. They had lived with Christ for three years, witnessed His death on the cross, and witnessed His resurrection. Acts 1:3 records that their testimony revealed "many assurances." Pastor John Piper further questions, saying, "You might think they would rely on past glories to support their witnessing ministries, after all, those past glories were still so fresh." However, the account and record of the book of Acts tells us otherwise. The power of faithful, effective witnessing comes not primarily from remembered grace or accumulated knowledge, but from the freshness of "great grace," the work and assistance of the Holy Spirit sent by Jesus, bestowed upon us. This was true for the apostles, and it is true for us as witnesses for Christ today.

Pastor John Piper went on to explain that no matter what signs and wonders God may reveal to aid our witness for Christ, they come to us in the same way they did to Stephen, for Acts 6:8 records: "Stephen, full of grace and power, performed great wonders and signs among the people."

In moments of special need in ministry, God provides us with extraordinary future grace and the power of the Holy Spirit, the Comforter. This is a fresh work of God's power. Therefore, Acts 14:3 and Hebrews 2:4 both describe God and his Holy Spirit as being with them, helping them bear witness, revealing God's miraculous grace "to testify to the word of his grace." This means that the "grace of power", permitted by God's unfailing love, bears witness to the purpose of the Savior Jesus' coming and the "grace of truth" of God's salvation.

Today's spiritual sharing is "The Incredible Truth and Power of Jesus' Resurrection." A Bible scholar has reached the same conclusion as I do: this is not only a promise of future glory for us, but also a present reality. After the resurrection, God's Spirit — the Holy Spirit or the Comforter — comes. The Holy Spirit empowers us to live lives pleasing to God, resist temptation, and grow in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Think about the challenges you face — anxiety, struggles with sin, difficult relationships. Do you feel overwhelmed? Remember, you don't have to rely on your own strength. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is also upon you, helping you bear witness and commit to the Great Commission of spreading the gospel and saving lives.
