All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.

The scripture shared in《今日灵粮 Spiritual FOOD TODAY》 is 2 Corinthians 5:18-20. Many pastors cite this passage from Paul in their sermons on the theme of "Calling for Christ-Centered Gospel Evangelism," revealing the core of the Christian mission — reconciliation with God through His ultimate plan of salvation for humanity. God actively reconciles humanity to Him through Christ, rather than placing our sins on us. This divine grace is not only a past event but also a present reality and a future calling. Therefore, believers are given the mission of reconciliation. We are called to be messengers of Christ — representatives of God's Kingdom, empowered by the Holy Spirit to fervently proclaim His message. We do not speak for ourselves, but as if God were calling us through us. This passage transforms evangelism from a responsibility into a privilege. It reminds us that God is working through us, using our words and lives to lead others into His reconciling love and to salvation through the redemption Jesus accomplished for us. May every believer identify with this identity: not only a follower of Christ but also a messenger of peace.

Some biblical scholars point out that, in order to demonstrate Christ's love in conversation, the Apostle Paul reminds us in Ephesians 4:15 to speak the truth in love, imitating Christ's humility, patience, and kindness. This means listening with compassion, speaking words that edify rather than corrupt (Paul elaborates on this in Ephesians 4:29), and emphasizing in Philippians 2:3 the importance of considering others better than ourselves. Proclaiming the gospel with Christ-centeredness and Savior's love is selfless — Jesus forgave sins, served, and sacrificed himself. We are also called to imitate Christ: to forgive swiftly, to bear one another's sins (as described in Ephesians 4:2), and to strive for reconciliation. Our words should carry grace, offering hope and healing, just as Christ did. Above all, let love be genuine — shown not just in speech, but in action and truth as apostle John encouraged us in his 1 John 3:18. When we love this way, we become living reflections of His gospel.

In today's turbulent world, some leaders and governments conflate national politics with religious faith, attempting to exploit their power and national interests to escalate religious and regional conflicts into proxy wars waged in the name of democracy, bringing suffering to the world. Therefore, in the "Calling for Christ-Centered Gospel Evangelism" movement, we, as Christ-centered preachers and leaders in secular workplaces or churches, must understand the crucial role humility plays in daily faith. There is an old Chinese saying: "Harmony in the family brings prosperity in all things." This means that family harmony brings good fortune. The same principle applies to interactions and trade between nations, churches, and other countries and peoples: humility, reciprocity, helping neighbors and others, especially having a religious faith, will surely receive God's blessings. It aligns the believer's heart with God's will and brings a true testimony. Humility is not self-deprecation, but an attitude of relying on God and serving others. As Jesus said, Matthew 11:29 reminds us: “Take my yoke upon you, for I am gentle and humble in heart.” We should imitate Jesus, set an example of silent obedience and mutual love, and proclaiming the gospel of salvation to millions, guiding them to believe that our Savior Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation — the way to God's salvation and the eternal reward of the Kingdom of Heaven.
